Introducing The Story Collective

I have been working on this project since the summer, and I am so excited to finally be able to share it. I’d like to introduce you to The Story Collective: A Masterclass Series for Writers.

The Story Collective is a masterclass series for writers, want-to-be writers, and anyone who loves a little extra education. Through monthly webinars, Collective classes focus on a specific topic within the writing/publishing industry. Participation in any Collective class will leave you with a working knowledge on that month’s topic and a stronger writing foundation to set you up for success. You’ll finish your Collective class feeling empowered, motivated, and knowledgable, all while connecting with writers just like you.

The Story Collective is designed to meet you where you are in your writing and to build your knowledge base so that you can write from a place of confidence and empowerment.

Each class will speak to one of three central Bookish Edits pillars:

  • Your story matters.

  • Your process matters.

  • Your editor matters.

I believe that by addressing each of these core anchors, editors can be the best kind of partner to their writers. The Collective will be just that: support. The more that you, as a writer, know about the writing process and the publishing industry, the better equipped you’ll be to navigate your own writing process and produce stories that are authentic to you and your voice. As I’ve worked with writers, I’ve realized that so many lack industry knowledge that could improve and empower their writing. I created The Story Collective to fill that gap and create a bridge between writers and the publishing industry.

Once you participate in a Collective class, you’ll have lifetime access so that you can revisit the replay whenever you want to brush up and refresh your memory. Each class also comes with worksheets and handouts specific to that month’s topic. Classes are purchased a la carte—no subscription required—so you only pay what for you want. The Collective truly is a collaborative, interactive experience, one that will motivate, empower, and inspire. You can find more information here.

Our first class is Tuesday, October 11, at 5:00 p.m. PDT. Head here to be the first to know when tickets go on sale!
